Ergonomic basically concern with the kind of work which human do. On the basis of work it ergonomics is applied. The goal of applying ergonomics in the workstation is to to find the best fit between you and your job conditions. It looks at what kind of work you do, what equipment you use and your entire job environment. Ergonomic assessment helps in creating ideal workstation for the worker to provide more comfortable environment so that employee can work more efficiently and for long time.

In the ergonomic assessment many points are considered like equipment use which equipment is used. An ergonomic workstation is one which allows you to go about your work freely without being obstructed by physical discomfort, excess fatigue, or the need to repeatedly make awkward or uncomfortable movements. Your monitor should be at a height where you can look at it directly while keeping your neck straight. There should be enough space to use the mouse freely with long strokes. Sitting in a non-ergonomic chair for such long periods can result in the development of physical problems including chronic back pain and circulation-related issues. Position of computer equipment specifically monitor, mouse and keyboard has major effect on ergonomics.

Height of monitor has major effect. Your monitor should be at a height where you can look at it directly while keeping your neck straight. If it?s too high or too low, you will place additional strain on your neck, which will lead to pain in the long term. Your keyboard and mouse, meanwhile, should be in such a position that your arms are hanging naturally and your elbows are bent at a 90 degree angle, preferably with some type of arm support in place. Depending on your vision, computer glasses may be necessary in order to avoid additional eye strain. Ergonomic computer workstations make sense from every aspect of your business. A modern appearance, more productive employees and less cost due to physical injury and stress.
