Freedom Transit will detour service Saturday due to the Parade of Chrome. Bus alternate routes will be as follows:
Lincoln Line 1 (Red) - Baltimore Street south of Gettysburg Square to Steinwehr Avenue to the Gettysburg National Cemetery parking lot will be closed from 5 p.m. for the duration of the parade.
During this closure the outbound LL1 will leave the Transit Center and travel to Chambersburg Street and turn left on South Washington Street to Steinwehr Avenue and continue as their schedule indicates.
On the inbound trip the vehicle will travel on Steinwehr Avenue and turn left onto South Washington Street. It will follow South Washington Street and turn right onto Chambersburg Street to the Transit Center.
Lincoln Line 2 (Red) -Baltimore Street south of Gettysburg Square to Steinwehr Avenue to the Gettysburg National Cemetery parking lot will be closed from 5 p.m. for the duration of the parade.
During this closure the outbound LL2 will leave the Transit Center and travel to Chambersburg Street and turn left on South Washington Street to Steinwehr Avenue and will use Taneytown Road to the west entrance of the Gettysburg National Military Park and Visitor Center. They will proceed to the Eisenhower Complex as their schedule indicates.
On the inbound trip, the vehicle will leave the Visitor Center west entrance turning right onto Taneytown Road to South Washington Street. It will follow South Washington Street and turn right
