Chamber Players concert at Welwyn church

SOME of the country?s finest chamber musicians will be performing in Welwyn this weekend.

The Chamber Players, featuring Welwyn?s Gabrielle Lester and Sarah Butcher, will be giving a concert in Welwyn St Mary?s Church, in Church Street, on Saturday at 7.30pm.

The feast of string quartets includes Haydn Op 76 No 4 in B flat ?Sunrise?, Mozart K465 in C ?Dissonance? and Dvorak Op 96 in F ?American?.

The performers will be Gabrielle Lester and Charles Mutter on violin, Chian Lim on viola and cellist Sarah Butcher.

Tickets cost ?10 and ?7 concessions (students and over 65s) and are available from Hill and Company, 5 High Street, Welwyn, by calling 01438 715849 and on the door (cash and cheques only).

Under-16s free. Refreshments will be available in the interval.

A donation will be made by The Chamber Players to the St Mary?s Lighting and Sound Appeal.
